Telling the truth to women & men of how Jesus wants women to be treated

In nearly every culture so many myths and prejudices have prevailed against women throughout the ages that it’s hard for even well-meaning people to know what the truth is.  It seems that no matter how “equal” a society allows women to be there’s still an underlying current of distrust–even fear of women. Sometimes it comes from men though women often hold these prejudices against each other and themselves.  “But from the beginning, it was not so,” God the Father, has had a better plan for women from the start—a plan reawakened by Jesus.

Measuring What “They say”

Against the Word of God.

Many of the sayings that Christians repeat as Biblical truth are in fact from other sources even other religions or are misunderstandings of scripture. (While these don’t always technically fit the definition of an urban legend, I’ve come to refer to them as such because they are legendary rather than true and have, through the generations, had the effect of yeast left far too long to rise—spilling the bread over the counter and onto the floor!) Just as clearing the clutter out of a home can reveal what truly belongs, making life less of a burden, it’s necessary to clear out the clutter of folk beliefs from Christianity to reveal the true riches of Scripture.
